Start with 203 degree water, and it drops to 167 at 6 hours – while not still boiling, it’s sure warm enough for a??cup of coffee when you’re in the middle of nowhere – whether that’s??on the road, or in??the mountains on a hike!???? Good & piping hot, for a good, long while.?? ??It holds .5 liter of liquid (17 ounces).?? From a user’s point of view, one of the REALLY nice features of this thermos is the top – it is VERY easy to tell when the thermos is open, and when it is closed:?? Push the red button and a spring loaded cover flips to vertical for open – never a doubt about it!?? You may call us clumsy, but some of the click button designs on other bottles are difficult to tell whether they are open, or closed (which leads to the loss of precious fluids!)
